No matter how often they get it wrong, we still have blind faith in weather forecasts, eh? Today was meant to be sunny & no wind. By lunchtime it was a 3-4, so I decided maybe the 310 with a 6.8... by the time I was rigging up the wind increased, so it was Axxis with the 5.4. But by this time, people were changing DOWN from 5.5s, and I had nothing smaller with me. Whacked on the small fin and hoped for the best.

As a result, not a terribly good session, extremely overpowered, riding very defensively over the mush. Had some good reaches, but every one ended in the usual ¥carve catapault¥. I¥m starting to get p***d off with spending so much time, energy, & warmth on waterstarting. Went for a couple of jumps, but to be honest I was too crunched up so didn¥t really ¥leap¥.

After a couple of hours, I went to unhook and found I couldn¥t as my arms no longer worked. My hands were literally black & blue, so I decided to call it a day.

As I hobbled off the water, people were going out with 4.0s!
